Lindsay Willcox began her post secondary education at the University of Guelph, achieving an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics. Wanting to pursue a career that would combine her interests in art, biomechanics, engineering, and design, Lindsay moved back to Ottawa to study Industrial Design at Carleton University. She completed an internship at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, partnered with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources for her fourth year project, and graduated with High Distinction in 2013. Her education and travels to various parts of the world have shaped her into the well-rounded, enthusiastic designer that she is today.
What I can offer
Passion. Enthusiasm. Drive. Honesty. I strive to create useful, meaningful designs that improve the human experience. I always try to go above and beyond to create the most comprehensive projects possible.
What sets me apart
I have an honours BSc in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph, with a focus on ergonomics, biomechanics, and human physiology. Because I have been trained to understand the human body and how it moves and functions, I have a great understanding of how a product will affect a user, and the effect a user will have on a product. From my education, I also learned how to think analytically and pay attention to details. I try to apply this knowledge to every design I create.
